All GETS contract award notices now available as open data
All contract award notices published by government agencies on the Government Electronic Tenders System (GETS) have now been released as open data.
The open data report is run every quarter. Agencies can log into GETS and make changes to make sure published contract award notices for the current quarter are correct and complete (see Rule 48 of the Government Procurement Rules).
These reports are published by New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) and are available on MBIE’s website and data.govt.nz.

This is a great achievement towards our commitment under the Open Government National Action Plan and increasing transparency of government procurement in New Zealand. Users of the data will now have easier access to all contract award notices published on GETS since it was first launched in 2014.

With the COVID-19 pandemic and its significant impact on the economy, there is heightened interest in the value and types of government contracts awarded. We encourage agencies to refer to the Government Procurement Rules when publishing contract award notices, in particular Rule 48: Contract award notice and Rule 4: Protection of supplier information.
