Biosecurity readiness in New Zealand - Request for Proposal (RFP)
Biosecurity New Zealand (BNZ) is leading a significant piece of work called the “Biosecurity NZ Response Services Project”. We’ve now entered into the procurement phase of the project. The purpose of the procurement is to improve how we contract outsourced services for biosecurity readiness, response and long-term management requirements.
On the 01/10/2019, BNZ released a Request for Proposal (RFP) to seek proposals for the provision of future biosecurity readiness, response and long-term management services. The RFP has been published on the NZ Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) website. The RFx ID is 21689581 and the title is “Biosecurity New Zealand Response Services”.

Here is a summary of what the RFP is about:
New Zealand is facing ever increasing biosecurity risks, both in scale and complexity. Current biosecurity readiness, response and long term management arrangements at Biosecurity NZ need to reflect and respond to these increasing risks.
This RFP is being used by Biosecurity NZ, to seek proposals for the provision of operational management of responses during biosecurity incursions.
The RFP closes at 4pm, on 14/11/2019.
Communications and questions regarding this RFP should be done through the GETS system.
