Changes to Government Model Contract templates
The updated Government Model Contract (GMC) templates improve the management of suppliers’ conflicts of interest.
We’ve also made some other minor drafting improvements to reflect the new Government Procurement Rule 51A (Prompt payment times) and changes to the GST Act 1985. These changes come from the Public Service Commissioner’s expectations following an independent inquiry.

Government model contracts are the default government contract for purchasing low-value, low-risk common goods and services. This definition is subjective and will depend on the size of your agency and the scale and complexity of your procurement function.
The GMC templates may not be suitable for use where an agency is outsourcing the delivery of services that relate to one of its core functions.
