Contract management and supplier relationship training available
NZGP is funding a cross-government membership to the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) for public sector procurement professionals.
NZGP has negotiated a multiple agency membership to IACCM’s online portal through to December. The portal houses international research, resources and analysis as well as webinars and courses that support members in improving their contract management and supplier relationship skills.
Stephanie Unka, Manager Capability, New Zealand Government Procurement says we know that contract and supplier relationship management are two areas that procurers would like to receive more training in. This membership will enable mandated agencies of all sizes to access a wealth of practical information for the development of commercial competence.
“As Procurement Functional Leader one of our focuses is on building procurement capability. We realise that membership costs may be prohibitive for individual agencies and this government-wide membership will enable teams of all sizes to access membership benefits,” says Stephanie.
A registration form will soon be sent to all agencies mandated to use the Government Rules of Sourcing.
And for procurement and supply management training, the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has a range of training opinions and local events, including their upcoming annual conference. They are currently looking for people interested in their syndicated corporate award training.
