Fleet management services Request for Proposal live

New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Fleet Management Services.

The new contract will replace the Fleet and Accident Management Services contracts currently run by New Zealand Police. We will operate the new contract as an All-of-Government (AoG) contract. The RFP was issued through the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) on 29 October 2024.

We’re seeking suppliers that meet the fleet management needs of eligible agencies and support them in achieving broader outcomes through government procurement.

We also aim to improve transparency of the Government’s fleet management needs and ensure high public value is delivered for New Zealand.

Our objectives for the new contract are to:

  • increase access for New Zealand businesses to work with government
  • identify and select suitably qualified and experienced suppliers to deliver fleet management services and leasing services
  • create opportunities for suppliers to offer their services to government with a fair and transparent commercial offering which includes savings
  • improve outcomes for New Zealand by optimising utilisation of the government fleet
  • enable efficient and consistent contracting between suppliers and government.

The new contract has these 6 categories covering a range of fleet management services:

•    Maintenance and servicing
•    Compliance management services
•    Accident management services
•    Telematics services
•    Vehicle management services
•    Operating leasing services

The new contract will be in place before the current syndicated contracts expire.

The RFP is open until 28 November 2024 and further information can be found on GETS.
