Guidance available on Government Procurement Rules 4th edition
New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) has developed guidance for agencies on the Government Procurement Rules, 4th edition.
In 2018 Cabinet agreed that government contracts should be leveraged to achieve broader cultural, economic, environmental and social outcomes for New Zealand, and that the Government Rules of Sourcing should be updated to enable this.
The Government Procurement Rules, 4th edition, come into effect from 1 October 2019 and NZGP have developed guidance for agencies on each of the priority areas under broader outcomes.
Access the guidance or read about New Zealand Government Procurement’s work to use procurement for broader outcomes.
NZGP will also be running a series of briefing sessions for agencies throughout September on the changes to the rules, and implementing broader outcomes.
