Holden announces withdrawal from New Zealand market
On 17 February 2020, General Motors, who own the Holden brand, announced that they were retiring the brand in New Zealand, meaning that vehicles will cease to be sold by the end of 2020.
Holden will honour all existing warranties for vehicles sold prior to this announcement, and in the ensuing months before the brand is retired. They will also continue to provide local service and support for Holden vehicles in New Zealand for at least the next ten years, as well as handling any recalls or safety-related issues that may arise.
We will work with Holden and agencies participating in the AoG motor vehicles contract to ensure that Holden’s transition from the market has as little impact as possible.
