Spotlight on reporting – Agency reporting for 2023
The next reporting deadline is 1 October 2023. Reporting is important because it improves the visibility of procurement data. It also supports the implementation of policies, and identifies and generates public value.
We are collecting reporting on:
- Broader outcomes: priority outcome three
- Progressive procurement policy
All government procurement mandated agencies must complete this reporting.
Please note your procurement capability index reporting (PCI) is due 1 November 2023.
Frameworks, reporting and advice
Broader outcomes: Priority outcome three - Improving conditions for New Zealand workers
This report covers the period 1 January 2023 to 30 June 2023. All mandated agencies are required to report on their contracts for cleaning, security and forestry workers.
Progressive procurement policy
This reporting covers the period 1 January 2023 to 30 June 2023. All mandated agencies are required to report on their progress. This includes information on an 8% target of procurement contracts awarded to Māori businesses in the last 12 months.
Reporting on progressive procurement policy
Procurement capability index
Reporting for the Procurement Capability Index (PCI) is due on 1 November 2023.
We have updated some of the PCI questions following a review of the reporting assessment. This is to ensure the assessment incorporates broader outcomes.
The portal for PCI assessments is now open:
For information on how to use the PCI portal, refer to this guidance.
We are not collecting significant services contracts framework (SSCF) data in October.
The SSCF reporting obligation is paused. Please continue to develop risk and governance programmes. Identify and record the risks associated with significant contracts and engage with key stakeholders.
If you have any questions about this reporting round, email the Procurement team.
